Website Accessibility
In accordance with our adopted Board Policy 8:70, District 28 is committed to providing equal access to the content on its website. The District makes every effort to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines developed by the World Wide Web Consortium, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
We are currently striving to conform to the most recent version of WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which offers clear guidance for making web content more accessible. We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process and are actively taking steps to identify and correct accessibility barriers as we improve the digital experience for all users.
Individuals who wish to request an alternate version of any of District 28's web content, ask questions regarding web accessibility or individuals who are unable to access any pages or documents on the District 28 website, can email the Director of Communications and indicate the nature of the accessibility or alternative format needs and the URL (web address) of the material.
Third-Party Content
While we aim to ensure accessibility across all areas of our site, some pages may contain third-party content or links that are not fully controlled by District 28. We encourage these providers to offer accessible content and will review concerns related to accessibility as they are brought to our attention.
