• Fall Assessments Begin Sept. 13

Students in 2nd through 5th grades will begin fall assessments including the NWEA MAP assessment Sept. 13. Students in grades K and 1 will take the AIMSWeb+ math and reading screener and 1st- through 4th- (and some fifth) graders will meet with teachers to complete the Fountas & Pinnell benchmark reading assessment. Teachers use all of these assessments to better understand and target learning goals for each student. Parents will receive MAP score reports in October after the district's testing window closes. Teachers will follow up with specific information about dates and timing of your child's assessments.

  • SHIELD Testing Begins Sept. 14

For those students participating in weekly SHIELD testing, we will begin our first tests on Tuesday, 9/14. Meadowbrook students in grades 1-5 will be tested each Tuesday morning, and kindergarten students will be tested on Thursday mornings between 11:00-11:45. Students will test in our upper gym, where there is ample room to spread out and test larger numbers of students at one time. Please remember that students cannot eat or drink for one hour prior to testing so breakfast on Tuesdays should ideally conclude by 7:45 a.m. Please refer to SHIELD information and FAQ or contact Mr. Thome with any questions (
