Northbrook Junior High
Welcome To Northbrook Junior High
Northbrook Junior High School serves approximately 620 students in grades 6-8. It is our goal to partner with parents to create a learning environment that is engaging, challenging, and supportive.
Families that travel to a state on the list of high-risk states as designated by the Cook County Department of Public Health must quarantine for 14 days when they return home. This applies to families who spend at least 24 hours in the state. This list is updated weekly on Tuesdays.
Thank you to our families for helping us each morning by performing the self-certification process through CrisisGo. Remote Learners participating in band, orchestra or chorus receive a separate certification through the district. Please remember this needs to be done prior to a student arriving at school before 8 A.M. It also helps us out tremendously if you do this ASAP, as we track who has not certified and beginning at 8 a.m.
Health Exams Due Oct. 15Physical Exam & Immunization Reminder for In-Person and Remote StudentsAs outlined in the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/27-8.1), students entering an Illinois school for the first time and all students entering sixth grade, as well as transfer students, must submit evidence of a physical examination and a complete record of immunizations by October 15 of the current school year. The State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination form must be completed within twelve months prior to the first day of school which this year was August 24. Unless an exemption or extension applies, the failure to comply with the above requirements by Thursday, October 15 of the current school year will result in the student's exclusion from school until the required health forms are presented to the District (Board Policy 7:100). Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's school nurse with any questions. Please visit the Required Health Exams page for more information.

Membership also provides access to the PTO Directory app.In order to fund these programs, we are kindly asking for a $25 per family donation. This is merely a suggested amount; we will accept any amount that you are comfortable with. All students will benefit from the PTO programs, regardless of the amount of your family’s contribution. You can make your online donation here. Your donation is tax-deductible! If you would like a receipt for your donation, please email Monique Howard at email@example.com.
