Glenbrook North students who received the Homer O. Harvey Scholarship were presented the awards by Phil Harvey, son of longtime former superintendent Homer O. Congratulations to the 15 Glenbrook North High School graduates who were each awarded a $1,500 Homer O. Harvey college scholarship. The scholarships were announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 23.

Recipients are: Sasha Arutchev, Grace Atkinson, Daniel Bilous, Christine Cheon, Tysen Coyle, Carly Erlich, Liam Gillespie, Starr Kalmar, Olivia LaCerra, Delaney Meek, Yesha Mistry, Ann Park, Lara White, Lindy Winkler, and Danielle Yakhnis.

The main fundraiser for the scholarship fund is the annual HOH5k, which is hosted by the District 28 PTO Council annually on the first Saturday in May. This year, the HOH5K raised $18,500 with business sponsorships and 329 participants. Since 1989, $406,500 has been awarded to 424 Northbrook Junior High and Glenbrook High School graduates.
