We are excited to announce that First Student’s FirstView mobile app is now operational.  This mobile app provides several features designed to help parents and students monitor their bus routes, including:

  • Live Tracking
    The FirstView map screen shows you the live location and direction of your student’s bus, your student’s stop schedule for the current day, and timestamps for school arrivals and departures. 
  • Predictive Stop Arrival Times and Custom Alerts and Alert Messages
    You can also  set up push or email notifications for when your student’s bus is a chosen distance (e.g. 1 mile), or number of minutes away from the stop.  Additionally, the District and transportation provider have the ability to send instant notifications regarding route delays.
  • Additional User Notifications: Main users of the FirstView® Parent App can connect three additional email accounts to receive email alerts.
  • Multi-Stop View
    Buses for all of your students can be tracked simultaneously.  Using individual colors for each student, FirstView enables users to view multiple student routes on a single map.
  • Dedicated Customer Support
    First Student has developed a dedicated customer support team.  Whether you are having trouble getting started with FirstView, not seeing correct data, or have an idea to make FirstView better, they want to hear from you!

Get Started!

  • To get started with the FirstView App, see a video demo by visiting www.firstviewapp.com. You will also find links to the Android, iPhone and desktop versions of the app. The App is also available for download through Google Play and the Apple App Store. 
  • Custom Alerts and Messages When setting up the App, you will be prompted to:
  •           Select your state (Illinois)
              Select your district (Glenbrook—we are paired with the high school).  
              Enter your student’s ID number.
  • The student ID number can be found in Teacher Ease or by contacting your school’s administrative assistant.
