Dr. Ginny Hiltz, Principal of Meadowbrook, has written a children's book about Krieger, the D28 Facility Dog. Her book, titled Krieger’s Crew: A School Facility Dog’s Journey, is about how the beloved Goldendoodle helps the students and teachers at his school every day. “Facility dogs, a special type of trained therapy dog, can fill a unique role and have a huge positive impact on their school communities,” Dr. Hiltz said.

Krieger, who was formerly at Greenbriar, became District 28’s facility dog in 2020. He is a certified facility dog trained by Canines 4 Comfort. Krieger’s Crew: A School Facility Dog’s Journey will be published in November; however, you can preorder copies now by clicking here!
