At the June 23 District 28 Board of Education meeting, the Board appointed Whitney Goldin to serve on the District 28 Board of Education. Ms. Goldin was selected from 10 applicants, and she was among four candidates the Board interviewed in an executive session.

Ms. Goldin is a Meadowbrook parent with an incoming kindergarten student and an incoming third-grade student. A graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, she is a former attorney with experience working at various Chicago-area law firms. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation and supports various pancreatic cancer non-profit organizations across the country. In 2023, Ms. Goldin was named one of WGN's “Chicago’s Very Own” for her fundraising efforts. She earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
