HOH Scholarship Walk/Run 2024

District 28 HOH5K IS MAY 4, 2024

The District 28 PTO Council’s HOH5K is back on May 4, 2024.

5K runners and walkers will start at 8:00 a.m. with a group start. Strollers are welcome, but NO dogs, bikes or rollerblades please. The lot behind Northbrook Junior High will be closed from 7:45 - 8:15 a.m. for the race. The race is chip-timed for instant results. Runners can see their results after they finish.

At 9:00 a.m., there will be a kid's fun run.  Kids ages 6 & under are invited to participate and will receive a prize for finishing (no T-shirt). Registration for the kids' run will close at 7:45 a.m. on the day of the race.

This event is the main fundraiser for the Homer O. Harvey Scholarships. Since 1989, $367,500 has been awarded to 388 Northbrook Junior High graduates. Homer O. Harvey was a longtime superintendent of District 28 and dedicated his career to providing high standards of excellence in learning. Over 20 local sponsors helped make this event a success.

“I have had the honor of serving as Council President the last four years and my favorite responsibility was being part of the Homer O. Harvey Scholarship selection committee,” said Cari Raymond Stoneburner PTO Council president. “Thank you to our sponsors, anonymous donors and over 400 participants!”
