Bus Information
Student Bus Transportation
Northbrook District 28 offers bus transportation to any family who requests it. District 28 does not fall under the districts required by Illinois School Code to provide bus service. Parents can sign up for transportation during the registration process or by contacting their school's administrative assistant after registration.
2024-25 Fee Schedule
- $559 per year - 1st rider per family
- $435 per year - 2nd rider per family
- $311 per year - 3rd rider per family
- $0 per year - 4th or more riders per family
- Young Explorers bus fee is $899
*Signing up for bus service after July 18, 2024 will incur a $10 late fee per rider
Sign up for Bus Service
Parents should contact their school's administrative assistant (during June) or the Northbrook Junior High office (during July at 847-498-7920) to sign up for bus service for the 2024-25 school year.
Families may elect to sign up after the school year has started by contacting the school administrative assistant.

Bus Route/Bus Stop Questions
Bus route assignments will be communicated to families via email. If you have a question regarding the route or stop assignment, please contact Dan Fritsche at First Student, (847) 724-7200 or via email.
If you are experiencing any difficulties with bus service, please contact your school administrative assistant.
Bus Rider Mobile App
To track daily bus arrival for pick up or drop off, please download the FirstView app for smartphones. The app is operational usually in late August after all new routes are uploaded.

Custom Alerts and Messages
When setting up the App, you will be prompted to:
- Select your state (Illinois)
- Select your district (select Glenbrook—we are paired with the high school).
- Your student’s ID number. (if you don't know your student's ID number, please contact your school administrative assistant)
