Calling all CAREGIVERS!!! If you live in a house where a child is doing math, come join us on September 27th at Meadowbrook.
Our Math Interventionist Jeremy Shea, and our Instructional Facilitator Brigette Hurst, will be host a two-part event teaching caregivers what they need to know about kids learning math in 2023.
- 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. will focus on grades K-2
- 7:30 - 8:15 p.m. on grades 3rd-5th.
You are welcome to attend both sessions. Can't make it Wednesday 9/27? DON'T WORRY, you can join Greenbriar (Thur 9/28) or Westmoor (Wed 10/2) for their presentations. Please register to join so we can prepare.

- Community Service: Help us with an upcoming Book Drive for Bernie's Book Bank.
- 5th Grade Year Book and Slide Show: Work with 5th Grade parents in designing this special keepsake and slideshow that the students will cherish for years to come!
- International Night: Help us organize an evening to share and celebrate diverse cultures that make up Meadowbrook.
- Green Committee: New this year! Help us promote environment-friendly and sustainable practices at Meadowbrook
- Project RED: Help us promote and teach students to "Respect Everyone's Differences." by organizing various kindness activities.

New Spending on Staff, Curriculum & Projects
The Board of Education reviewed the 23-24 Proposed Budget, summer building improvements and hired new staff at its regular meeting on July 25. Summer projects include a complete lighting upgrade for all buildings, funded by a grant from ComEd.

Students Find Footing With Curling
Meadowbrook and Greenbriar 5th-graders spent a morning this week on the ice at Chicago Curling Club in Northbrook learning the techniques and rules of curling.
