Music
About
Northbrook School District 28's nationally-recognized music programs engage children of all backgrounds and abilities in performing, creating, and responding through music. It inclusively fosters the joy of collaborative music-making and inspires individual growth in each learner. Appreciation and involvement in music is a lifelong experience open to all. In 2025 District 28 received the Best Communities for Music Education award by the National Association of Music Merchant for the 9th time.
Students will understand that music:
Is a universal language that connects lives, as it is an integral part of the human experience across all cultures.
Empowers us to explore, innovate, and connect with others through personal expression and growth.
Encourages personal responsibility to develop essential skills for lifelong learning and success.
