Cheers to 28

The PTO Council's first-ever districtwide fund-raiser and parent social is just days away! Cheers to 28 - A Parents' Night Out to benefit teacher grants will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Jan. 26 at Fields BMW Northfield. Purchase tickets today by visiting the PTO website. Ticket sales close at midnight, Jan. 25.

Student Anxiety: How Parents Can Help

Many children experience school-related anxiety at one time or another. For some, school anxiety will lead to school refusal or impact academic performance, social interactions and even their health. Parents are invited to learn about warning signs as well as coping strategies during a special program at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Northbrook Junior High with renowned behavioral counselor Jackie Rhew.

Basketball/Soccer Camps for Girls

Northwestern University offers basketball and soccer summer camps for girls, from kindergarten through 8th grade. Registration is open now at and there is an early bird discount of 15% until February 1.

Pommin' With The Spartans

Aspiring Pommers in Grades K-6 are invited to a clinic and joint dance performance st Glenbrook North. The clinic will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 26 and the performance will be at the Varsity basketball game at 5 p.m. Feb. 1. Download the flier for details and to register.

Taco Tuesdays teen program   

Taco Tuesday with Teens

GNCY is hosting an event on February 12th, "Taco Tuesday with Your Teens" held at the GBN cafeteria. This presentation is a new format requested by parents that will involve both parents and their teens in a world cafe setting. We are looking forward to this new style enabling both parents and their teens to discuss the dangers of JUULs and vaping. Download the flier for more details.
