Construction kick off at Meadowbrook School

Meadowbrook School kicked off construction with a groundbreaking ceremony on August 15, 2025. Students and members of the Meadowbrook PTO joined Principal Hiltz, Dr. Jason Pearson, and other district leaders at the event. 

Year Opened: 1955
Total Cost: $56MM

As part of the referendum, a new Meadowbrook School will be built. Studies show that it is more cost-effective to replace, rather than repair. To renovate and repair the existing building, it would cost 64% of the price of new construction. New construction results in a school with minimal maintenance and repairs for years to come.   

The two-story building will be constructed behind the existing building. With the construction site enclosed for safety, the old school will operate during construction, allowing children to stay with their school community. 

A new gymnasium will be attached to the rear of the existing building. It will seamlessly attach to the new school once it is completed.

Projected Construction Timeline

  • August 2025: Meadowbrook gymnasium construction begins
  • March 2026: Meadowbrook gymnasium completed & construction of the new Meadowbrook School begins
  • August 2027: New Meadowbrook School completed

Construction areas will be enclosed and separated from students, staff, and daily school activities during the construction projects.
