Northbrook School District 28 is a distinguished PK-8 school district located approximately 20 miles northwest of Chicago, near the heart of downtown Northbrook. We serve approximately 1,800 students across three elementary schools (grades K-5) and one junior high school (grades 6-8). Northbrook 28 also serves our youngest learners with an innovative early childhood program located within Westmoor School. Upon graduation from Northbrook Junior High, our students attend Glenbrook North High School.

Northbrook 28 offers students a rigorous curriculum aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards. In addition, we are proud to offer unique experiences for our students, some of which include:

  • Spanish instruction at the elementary level
  • Organic gardens & outdoor classrooms at each school
  • A nationally-recognized music program
