Cross Country
-
NBJH will not be holding interscholastic athletics during the Fall sports season. The specific sports impacted by this decision include Girl's volleyball, Cross country and co-ed Soccer. We will be reaching out to the other conference schools to explore the possibility of rescheduling these sports to a later date in the school year.
The Co-ed Cross Country team welcomes all 6th-, 7th-, & 8th-grade NBJH students to participate. There are no try-outs. Practices are held after school M- Th from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Meets are usually scheduled to start by 4 p.m and end by 6 p.m. Distances vary from one school to another, but students are encouraged to run approximately 1.3 miles at most meets.***All students who will be participating in interscholastic sports are required to have a sports physical exam by a licensed physician, annually. The sports physical is good for only one (1) year from the date of the exam, and must be on file in the junior high office prior to tryouts.***
***If your child is interested in interscholastic sports, a Mandatory Concussion form needs to be completed prior to participation on any sport.
