  • Northbrook Junior High's 6th, 7th, & 8th-grade basketball teams are interscholastic programs for girls and boys.  The teams practice or play a game virtually every school day from the start of November through the last week of January.  Due to gym constraints, practices vary from day to day and they may run from either 3:45 to 5:15 pm or 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Coaches will provide their players with practice schedules and game schedules. Players must provide their own transportation home from practices.

The improvement of skills, effort, sportsmanship, and teamwork will be stressed in practices as well as in games.

***All students who will be participating in interscholastic sports are required to have a sports physical exam by a licensed physician, annually.  The sports physical is good for only 13 months from the date of the exam, and must be on file in the junior high office prior to tryouts.***

***If your child is interested in interscholastic sports, a Mandatory Concussion form needs to be completed prior to participation on any sport.  If you filled out the form during the registration process for the school year through Info Snap, then you do not need to fill out a hard copy. ******

Parents, please fill out the Athletic Handbook Contract online after your child makes the team and you both have read the Athletic Handbook thoroughly on the Athletics Page.
