Track & Field
-
NBJH's Track & Field Team is open to all 6th, 7th, & 8th graders. There are no tryouts or cuts from the team. Running events include the 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M, 1600M, relays, and hurdles. The field events are the long jump and the shot put. The meets generally last two hours (depending on the meet and how many schools are participating) and begin at about 4:15 pm. Practices are generally Monday through Thursday from 3:45 to 4:45. Please bring warm clothes for the meets as the weather tends to be unpredictable in the Spring.
***All students who will be participating in interscholastic sports are required to have a sports physical exam by a licensed physician, annually. The sports physical is good for only one (1) year from the date of the exam and must be on file in the junior high office prior to the first day of practice.***••••All student-athletes interested in participating this Spring (2023) need to fill out this Track and Field Sign-up Google Form prior to the Informational Meeting on Wednesday, March 22nd. ••••
