    Britannica Image Quest - Use copyright free images from Encyclopedia Britannica. There are over 2 million to choose from in this database.

    Pics for Learning - Pictures from this site are copyright cleared as long as they are used for an educational purpose. This site is especially good for science and social studies. 

    Photos for Class - Photos collected from the creators of Storyboard That. Photos are licensed for school use as long as they are cited!

    EduPic - A website of images created by a teacher for use by teachers and students.

    ClipPix Etc. - Provided by Florida's Educational Technology Clearinghouse, teachers and students can use up to 25 copyright free images in a single school project.

    Morgue File - Started by a college student, this website contains many images that can be used in projects. Please make sure to give credit to the photographer.

    Flickr: The Commons - Participating institutions around the world are adding to this collection of photos in the public domain.

    Wikimedia Commons - This site includes media content such as videos, images and sound clips. When you click on any media from this website, the copyright terms are listed. Make sure you only use the pictures in the way that the copyright holder has granted you permission.

    Library of Congress Prints and Photographs - Over 1. 2 million images are in this database and they are particularly good for history projects. Be careful, though, because copyright is different for each image. 

    Pixabay - Thousands of high resolution images, most are in the public domain. Search, browse and then download in the size you need.

    WP Clipart - A large number of images that are copyright free!

    ClipArt, Etc. - Almost 67,000 pieces of educational clipart. Up to 50 items can be used per project. 

    Presentations, Etc. - Putting together a presentation? Here is what you need to add buttons, letters, numbers and background themes. Use up to 50 items per presentation.

    Purple Planet Royalty Free Music - The music on this site can be used for all kinds of student projects. However, credit needs to be given to the website by adding a link in the text of the project. The link is listed on the website.

    Bensound - This site allows users to download a large variety of music as use for projects as long as proper credit is given in the project. 

    Freesound - A collaborative database of audio snippets, samples, recordings, etc. 

    Jazz Online - Download mp3 versions of classic jazz music. All music on this site is believed to be in the public domain. 

    Digital History - Music that is in the public domain that is organized by historical period. Download it and add it to your iMovie.

    FreeSFX - Over 450,000 free sound effects, but you must make sure to give credit in your project to use these.

    Free Music Archive - Organized by genre, this website hosts high quality materials vetted by curators. Make sure to check the Creative Commons license before using.

    Sound Gator - Need cool sounds for a multimedia project? Try this database of more than 23 different sound categories. You need to register to download. 


    Video

    Moving Image Archive - Hosts more than 4 million copyright-cleared video clips that can be downloaded in a variety of formats. Searching or browsing is easy on this site.
