Race Facts
This race is organized by the Northbrook District 28 PTO Council. All proceeds will benefit the the Homer O. Harvey Scholarship Fund.
When: 8 a.m. the first Saturday in May. The 2020 event was cancelled due to the pandemic
Where: Northbrook Junior High School, 1475 Maple Avenue

Age Groups: Awards for the overall male & female 5K winners, as well as the top male and female finishes of the following categories: ages 5-6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 60 & over.
Student boy and girl grade level awards will be distributed to District 28 schools during the following week.
Kids' Obstacle Course:The Kids' Obstacle Course kicks off at 9 a.m. in the field west of NBJH. All children ages 11 and under are invited to participate.
About the Homer O. Harvey ScholarshipThe scholarship fund was established in 1989 and is supported through the District 28 PTO Council. Dr. Homer O. Harvey was a longtime the superintendent of District 28 and dedicated his professional career to providing high standards of excellence and learning for our children. His family continues to be involved with the scholarship selection committee. The annual HOH5K is the top-fundraiser for the event and is held on the first Saturday in May.
Since 1989, the first year of the fund, $331,500 has been awarded to 367 Northbrook Junior High graduates.
