Responsibilites and Expectations of 24 staff
When and Where
Students selected for the news team will meet the week prior to their broadcast with Mr. Sato at the beginning of homeroom in Room 226 to go over the responsibilities and expectations for the upcoming week in the studio. All jobs, rules, and announcements for the production will be discussed. After this discussion on broadcast assignments, students should begin to prepare their parts over the weekend.
Students are to arrive by 7:30 am every day to meet with Mr. Sato and Mr. FIne when in Room 226. The crew will work until approximately 8:30 am to create, edit, and broadcast the day’s news and prepare for future broadcasts.
Positions
8 students will rotate through the following positions during the week:
- 2 News-desk Anchors
- 1 Meteorologist
- 1 Camera Technician
- Student Director
- 1 Audio/Video Editor
- 1 Media Extractor
- 1 TelePrompTer
Ch. 24 will post the daily broadcast each day on the school’s website for parents to view. We are also working with the Northbrook Channel to locally broadcast the show. Please direct any further questions to channel24@northbrook28.net
